Mountain Goat

A mountain goat lives in high elevations so you rarely see them in valleys or farm land, they even have their baby up high. The range of these animals is restricted to the steep and broken mountain ranges of northwestern North America and extends naturally from Idaho and Washington to South central Alaska. In Alaska, mountain goats occur throughout the southeastern Panhandle and continue north and west. This is a blunt, squarish-looking animal that has a narrow head with slender, black, shiny horns. The horns are rising in a backward curve to a length of 10-12 inches. The animal's coat is white and on the chin is a double beard of long hair. A mountain goat lives in high elevations so you rarely see them in valleys or farm land, they even have their baby up high.
